Solaris: Indian Solar Car Project
The first Indian car at the World Solar Challenge, Australia — a 3000 km cross-continent race of solar cars. I designed the vehicle electronics of the first car and supervised the team.
Solaris is a team that builds cars running on solar energy for a 3000 km marathon race in Australia. I designed the vehicle electronics of the first car and was the team supervisor.
The project taught me several aspects of engineering in a resource-constrained environment: continuous innovation and project management. Our first car crossed the finish line despite being the lowest-cost vehicle in the entire competition.
