Nature Embedded: An animal vision exhibit
An interactive exhibit at the National Gallery of Modern Art, Mumbai that lets visitors see the world through the eyes of a bird, dog, and fish by incorporating natural features of each creature's vision.
"To develop an understanding one has to look at things from other's perspectives." Through this exhibit we recreated an experience for the visitor to see the world from the point of view of a bird, dog, and a fish. Viewers would move animal props and they would react in the game.
In our design, we incorporated natural physical features of the eye — the shape of the vision cone and color sensitivity — to show the world from that creature's view. In another work, we created a holographic scene depicting owls during day and night.
The exhibition was at the National Gallery of Modern Art, Mumbai with an invited talk and opening by Paola Antonelli.
