Horse Sense is a hardware sensor for horse stalls that detects what a horse is doing — activity and health signals — to help owners manage their animals. It combines an high efficiency IMU, microphone, heart-rate/RR sensing and other ambient sensors running on a Zephyr based system.

An ML model classifies horse state from the sensor data at 99% accuracy across seven states, with a heart-rate filter as a second stage to refine low-confidence predictions. The device logs all data points for further analysis.
